- App regularly drops WiFi connection to Theta S. Have to close out of app and reconnect to Theta WiFi before running app again. It’s a real pain when if you’re in a hurry. Ricoh needs to solve this urgently. Using Moto G5 and Android 7. dezembro 2018 upgraded to Android 8 and my mobile will connect to the camera wifi but app won’t talk to camera
- This is THE worst product I have ever bought. After plenty of firmware update the camera is still ridiculously unstable (after more that 1 year..) The THETA app always disconnecting and/or if you start recording from the app the camera accidently restarts… so better to use the cam without the app if you do not want too loose your footage, or e.g. footage where the audio/video is not synchronized, . .. .. etcetcetc.
- This app is absolute trash. For a proprietary software and hardware device it should have a much more stable connection. Every single time I use it there are issues connecting. It would be great if you could just pull it out and snap a 360 image on a tripod, but I spend more time trying to get it to work than anything. I really hope they fix it because this would be a great device.
- Failed to launch the viewing from the camera on Android phone even the WiFi in the phone setting indicated it’s connected. The work around (from someone on the support page suggested) is to keep turning on/off the Theta S until it’s connected. Eventualmente, it worked, but I missed many chances to capture the good image.
